ചെന്നൈ: ലോക്‌സഭാ പ്രതിപക്ഷ നേതാവ് രാഹുൽ ഗാന്ധി തമിഴ്‌നാട് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി സി. ജോസഫ് വിജയുമായി ചെന്നൈയിലെ നീലങ്കരയിലുള്ള വസതിയിൽ കൂടിക്കാഴ്ച നടത്തി. ഏകദേശം ഒരു മണിക്കൂർ നീണ്ട കൂടിക്കാഴ്ചയിൽ രാഷ്ട്രീയ വിഷയങ്ങൾ ചർച്ച ചെയ്തതായി NDTV റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്തു.

കൂടിക്കാഴ്ചയ്ക്കുശേഷം ഇരുവരും സമീപത്തെ കഫേയിലെത്തി. അവിടെ കപ്പുച്ചിനോ, തിരാമിസു, കുക്കീസ് എന്നിവ ഓർഡർ ചെയ്തതായും ആരാധകരുമായി സംവദിക്കുകയും ചിലർ സെൽഫിയെടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്തതായും റിപ്പോർട്ടിൽ പറയുന്നു.

രാഹുൽ ഗാന്ധി ചെന്നൈയിൽ വിദ്യാർഥികളുമായി സംവദിക്കുന്ന ‘ഛാത്രോൻ കി ഗൂഞ്ച്’ പരിപാടിയിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കാനാണ് എത്തിയത്. കോൺഗ്രസും വിജയിന്റെ തമിഴക വെട്രി കഴകവും തമ്മിലുള്ള രാഷ്ട്രീയ സഖ്യത്തിന്റെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തിൽ കൂടിക്കാഴ്ച ശ്രദ്ധേയമായി.

Rahul Gandhi Meets Vijay in Chennai; Leaders Later Visit a Café for Coffee and Tiramisu

Chennai: Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay at his residence in Neelankarai, Chennai. The meeting lasted around an hour, with the two leaders discussing political matters, according to NDTV.

After the meeting, they visited a nearby café, where they reportedly ordered cappuccino, tiramisu and cookies. They also interacted with people who had gathered around them, with some taking selfies.

Rahul Gandhi was in Chennai to attend the ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ student outreach programme. The meeting comes against the backdrop of the political alliance between the Congress and Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).
